Playing as astronauts in search of an unknown planet at the edge of the solar system, The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine puts players through a variety of challenges along the way through gameplay that revolves around trick-taking with bright and colorful cards.
Presenting a novel spin on a classic genre, The Crew is a cooperative trick-taking game where most are competitive. While the missions start out easy enough, with over 50 to try in the game (and the ability to make your own), The Crew is an excellent title to try out with fans of classic card games and modern board games alike.
What Our Committee Is Saying
The increasing difficulty and ongoing story line (without feeling like you’re committing to a long-term legacy game) are a couple of the reasons this game excels. … For 3-5 players, The Crew offers a variety of mission options that vary in length and difficulty and is an easy transition for people who typically play games like Hearts and Spades.
Nicole Brady
I think The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine is, bar none, the best trick-taking game I’ve ever played. It’s likely one of the best cooperative games I’ve ever played, as well. … This game consistently blows me away. … It’s quick, simple, and extremely difficult to put down.
